The Legacy Lightning will face off against the Eaglecrest Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Legacy has three straight victories, Eaglecrest has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Legacy is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Vista PEAK Prep: they outscored them in every quarter. The Lightning blew past the Bison 59-35 on Thursday. That looming 59-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lightning yet this season.

Andrew Gardner
| 10/30/25 @ Vista PEAK Prep | 276 |

Legacy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew Gardner out in front who threw for 276 yards and one touchdown while completing 79.2% of his passes. Those 276 passing yards gave Gardner a new career-high. Joey Jewett also helped out as he racked up 116 receiving yards.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Legacy proved: they limited Vista PEAK Prep to a paltry 1.7 yards per carry. The team can thank Dane Hayes for the heroic effort on defense: he. Legacy didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.2.
Legacy's defensive line also made the game a nightmare for Canaan Barthlow, racking up seven sacks. Corbin Combs was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up 2.5 himself. He is becoming a predictor of Legacy's success: when he posts at least one sack the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't).
Meanwhile, Eaglecrest might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Arapahoe who claimed the real prize. The Raptors fell 28-23 to the Warriors. Despite 101 more yards than the Warriors, the Raptors couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Legacy will have to keep a close watch on William Brinkman and Quincy Clayton, a pair of players who had a big impact on Eaglecrest's prior game. Brinkman rushed for 93 yards and one score on only nine carries, while Clayton gained 108 total yards.
Eaglecrest's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Legacy, their record is now an identical 6-4.
Legacy strolled past Eaglecrest in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 by a score of 28-14. Do the Lightning have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raptors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
