Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Brennan's 13th in Last 14 Outings

Brennan entered their tilt with Holmes on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Holmes Huskies with a sharp 46-22 victory. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brennan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Niashya Townsell, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 12 points and six boards. Townsell is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Bella Flemings, who posted six points along with 12 rebounds and six assists.

Brennan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in 15 consecutive contests.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Theresa Caravlho, who earned four points in addition to five boards and three blocks. That's the most blocks Caravlho has posted since back in November of 2024.

Brennan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Holmes, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-15.

Brennan will square off against Stevens at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Brennan's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Stevens has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road. As for Holmes, they will take on O'Connor at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. O'Connor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season.
