The Kennedy Commanders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 105-61 defeat at the hands of Thomas Jefferson. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kennedy in their matchups with Thomas Jefferson: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Kennedy still got an impressive performance from Anthony Zink, who scored 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Agosto, who scored six points.
William Perkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Thomas Jefferson, going 8 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 41 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perkins has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jake Scobey, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Kennedy's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Thomas Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will challenge Alameda at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thomas Jefferson, they will head out on the road to face off against Denver East at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Denver East focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
