Despite their loss, Mifflin saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. John Glover, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Glover is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Bj Woody was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Columbus International's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 11th straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 69-43 walloping at the hands of Grove City Christian. Columbus International has struggled against Grove City Christian recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Mifflin has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Columbus International, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Mifflin was able to grind out a solid victory over Columbus International when the teams last played back in January, winning 77-65. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Columbus International's KJ Jones, who scored 38 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
