Central Crossing is a perfect 5-0 against Briggs since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Comets will venture away from home to face off against the Bruins at 11:00 a.m. Central Crossing hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Central Crossing fell victim to Westerville Central and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 14-0 to the Warhawks.

Meanwhile, while Briggs put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Walnut Ridge. The Bruins blew past the Scots 13-0. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by nine runs or more this season.

The win got Briggs back to even at 8-8. As for Central Crossing, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Central Crossing got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Briggs by a conclusive 20-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
