The Corsicana Tigers are taking a road trip to  face off against the Kaufman Lions  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Kaufman took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Corsicana, who comes in off a win.
Corsicana lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Greenville, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's   game. The Tigers were the clear victors by  a  38-14 margin over the Lions on Friday. Considering the Tigers have won three matchups by more than 20  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile, Kaufman was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They came up short against  Poteet, falling  31-7. Having soared to a lofty 35  points in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.
Corsicana will have to contain  Elijah Rose as he made an impact in Kaufman's last game. He rushed for 97 yards and one  score.
 Kaufman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Dominik Carrillo.
 The  win made it two in a row for Corsicana and  bumps their season record up to 4-3. The  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 43.5 points over those games. As for Kaufman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Things could have been worse for Corsicana, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took  a  42-28 loss to Kaufman in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
