The Rampart Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Classical Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Rampart has scored all season.
Rampart's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elias Bishop, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Melecio, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.

As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wenger has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Miller, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Rampart's defeat was their 11th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-8. As for The Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rampart's road trip will continue as they head out to face Widefield at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Widefield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Rampart is ranked 128th). As for The Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Mesa Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mesa Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 885 points over their last 13 matches.
