Cascade is 1-9 against Community since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cascade Champions will stay at home for another game and welcome the Community Vikings/Viqueens at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cascade scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Forrest as Cascade made off with a 61-37 victory. With Cascade ahead 31-10 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Community was able to grind out a solid win over Grundy County on Friday, taking the game 50-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Community.
Community found their leader in underclassman Anna Haskins, who scored 33 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Alyssa White was another key contributor, scoring three points along with 13 rebounds.
Cascade has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season. As for Community, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-16.
Cascade was able to grind out a solid victory over Community when the teams last played back in January, winning 48-39. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Haskins, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds.
