The West Warwick Wizards will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Prout Crusaders at 6:45 p.m. West Warwick will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Even though West Warwick has not done well against East Greenwich recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. West Warwick blew past East Greenwich 54-32. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win West Warwick has posted since December 13, 2023.
Liz Gresin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Calla Davide, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Prout suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. Their rough 54-32 loss to Smithfield might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Prout in their matchups with Smithfield: they've now lost four in a row.
West Warwick's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Prout, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Everything came up roses for West Warwick against Prout in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 55-27 win. Does West Warwick have another victory up their sleeve, or will Prout turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
