The Brady Bulldogs fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past Rochelle, posting a 75-29 win at home. This was payback for Brady, who suffered a 40-39 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Brady was led to victory by Amerie Stidham and Lola Whisenhunt. Stidham scored 14 points along with 5 steals, while Whisenhunt scored 20 points along with 6 steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Whisenhunt has scored at least 25% of Brady's points. Another player making a difference was Aiva Farris, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Brady is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season. As for Rochelle, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Brady will take on South San Antonio West at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rochelle, they will take on Florence at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
