Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bears since on Tuesday.
Curtis Castleberry and Gaige Morgan stepped up to the plate in a big way. Castleberry went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Morgan got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Aryn Moody was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Providence Hall, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against American Leadership Academy by a score of 16-11 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Providence Hall got a massive performance out of Dom Herrera, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Herrera a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Pierce Taylor, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double.
Providence Hall's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for American Leadership Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. American Leadership Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312. However, it's not like Providence Hall struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
