The biggest upset of the week belonged to Taylor, who took down 546th ranked Taylor, 26-22. Antwan Heath ran for 92 yards in the win.
Caldwell moved up to 668 from 895 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A Region III District 18. The Hornets were able to make move up by defeating the Ducks 26-22.
Caldwell's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brett Gilchrist threw for 169 yards and Jonathan Jackson had 82 yards receiving. CJ Bills helped Caldwell's passing attack out by catching four balls for 45 yards.
Navasota's Kadarius Baker and Solomon McGinty have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Baker has thrown for 2232 yards this season, while McGinty has 41 catches for 913 yards. Kenneth Gilchrist's team's Caelin Goss leads the league in rushing yards with 319.
The Rattlers' Austin Collins is only 87 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Rockdale. He has recorded 42 catches for 913 yards this year.
The Hornets and Taylor played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with the Hornets eventually emerging with a 26-22 victory. Heath in the win.
