Molokai have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will take on Lanai at home at 11:00 AM on Saturday. Molokai will be hoping to continue their now four-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
Molokai were fully in charge two weeks ago, breezing past Seabury Hall 48-8. That result was just more of the same for Molokai, who also won the last time these teams played.
Meanwhile, Lanai faced Hana in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lanai took the matchup and then some with a 64-24 win last Saturday over Hana. Lanai were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 4-1. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
