Sammamish found their leader in underclassman Sophia Eastman, who scored 19 points along with six steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Eastman has scored at least a third of Sammamish's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimberly Casiano, who scored 12 points along with six steals and two blocks.
Evergreen has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Sammamish, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Evergreen will take on Lindbergh at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sammamish, they will head out on the road to square off against Renton at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Renton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
