Baseball Recap: Wellington Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Wellington and El Dorado meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Crusaders came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 7-2. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Wellington pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for El Dorado, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Wellington and El Dorado will both be playing Buhler the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Crusaders will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th.
