It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Clovis North Broncos had no problem doing just that on Friday. They snuck past the Timberwolves with a 34-28 win. Clovis North's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Jackson Cinfel continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 255 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per carry. Cinfel's longest rush was for an incredible 86 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Mario Cosma, who threw for 41 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
Despite the loss, Clovis East still got an impressive performance from Tyus Miller, who threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 121 yards while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
Clovis North has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.9 points per game. As for Clovis East, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Clovis North will play host again and welcome Central, where kickoff is scheduled for 7:08 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. Clovis East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
