Meadville is 10-0 against Bucklin-Macon County since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Meadville Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Bucklin-Macon County Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Meadville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Last Friday, Meadville was able to grind out a solid victory over Novinger, taking the game 62-50.
Gauge Shiflett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Mason Dennis, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bucklin-Macon County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in January after their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Christian Fellowship 57-19.
Meadville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for Bucklin-Macon County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Meadville strolled past Bucklin-Macon County in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 74-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Meadville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
