Murphy moved up to 174 from 228 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 1A Conference 1. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of beating Smoky Mountain 48-14.
Cherokee fell to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Swain County's dynamic duo of Ray Smith and Jordan Cody proved tough for Franklin to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Smith threw for 203 yards and Cody had 139 yards receiving. Kobe Toineeta helped Swain County's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 45 yards.

Jacob Moore was the best running back in the league this week. In 12 carries, he ran for 100 yards as Andrews lost to Josh Brooks' team. Teammate Dillan Ward added to the ground attack by rushing for 93 yards.
Cody was the best wideout in the league this week as the Maroon Devils fell to the Panthers.
