The Larimore Polar Bears's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully Larimore focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday.
Last Monday, Larimore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-51 to Park River/Fordville-Lankin. That's two games in a row now that Larimore has lost by exactly six points.
Despite the loss, Larimore had strong showings from Michael Myers, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds, and Brison Falch, who scored 16 points along with four steals. It was the first time this season that Falch scored 15 or more points. Jace Collison was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] earned a 63-51 victory over Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg on Thursday.
Larimore's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Benson County [Leeds/Maddock], their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
Larimore barely slipped by Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 52-51. Will Larimore repeat their success, or does Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
