Baseball Recap: Miller Has No Trouble Against Federal Hocking

Miller had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Federal Hocking on Saturday. Miller blew past Federal Hocking 13-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Bodey Dorsey made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Dorsey was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Doughty, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Maddox Bolyard, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Miller's record is now 2-0.

Coming up, Miller will head out to challenge Berne Union at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give Miller their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Federal Hocking, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Nelsonville-York at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
