After three games on the road, Community Christian Academy is heading back home. They will take on the Curtis Baptist Crusaders at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Community Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Back in December of 2023, Community Christian Academy took a serious blow against Laurens Academy, falling 57-16.
Meanwhile, Curtis Baptist put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They claimed a resounding 54-21 win over Jefferson Davis Academy on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Curtis Baptist who now have four in a row.
Maci Butler and Mia Price were among the main playmakers for Curtis Baptist as the former dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds and the latter scored 20 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Price has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Abby Coughlin, who scored four points along with six assists.
Community Christian Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Curtis Baptist, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Community Christian Academy was taken down by Curtis Baptist 57-11 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Community Christian Academy was down 47-6.
