Basketball Recap: North Montgomery Takes a Loss

North Montgomery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Delphi Community Oracles. That's two games in a row now that the Chargin' Chargers have lost by exactly six points.

Despite the loss, North Montgomery still got an impressive performance from Kelby Harwood, who went 12 for 19 on his way to 28 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals Harwood has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Enlow, who posted eight points along with six boards and three steals.

Delphi Community's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Walker Jones, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points. Bradyn Gleason was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

North Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Delphi Community, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

North Montgomery wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 54-47 defeat against Pioneer on the 2nd. As for Delphi Community, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-33 loss against Taylor on the 2nd.
