After flying high against Bound Brook  on Tuesday, South Hunterdon came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Delaware Valley Terriers by a score of  6-5 on Wednesday. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing  13-3 to the Terriers when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

South Hunterdon got a good showing from  Trevor Sinkus, who   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Sinkus has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk any time he's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  Landon Katz was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with three  RBI and one  triple. That  triple marked the first that  he has  hit this season.
South Hunterdon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Delaware Valley,  the  win  got them back to even at 4-4.
 Coming up, South Hunterdon will be playing at home against Bound Brook  at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on  a  six-game losing streak. As for Delaware Valley, they will square off against Gill St. Bernard's at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
