Plant is a perfect 3-0 against Sumner since January of 2025 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Panthers will take on the Stingrays at 2:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Plant is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lennard 70-32. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Sumner blew past Palm Harbor University, posting a 58-13 win. While fans of the Stingrays might be used to big wins, the 45-point margin marked the team's biggest one yet.

Sumner's win came from a few key players that Plant will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Karson Coleman, who went 9-for-16 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Immanuel Kelly, who shot 64% from the field en route to 17 points along with seven boards and four steals.

Sumner smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.

Plant pushed their record up to 21-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points over those games. As for Sumner, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.

Plant was able to grind out a solid win over Sumner in their previous meeting back in January, winning 48-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
