Georgetown Visitation Prep is 6-1 against the Panthers since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs will head out on the road to square off against the Potomac School Panthers at 5:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Georgetown Visitation Prep came up short against the Huskies and fell 50-42.
Meanwhile, Potomac School is ranked highly in their home state, and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Bulldogs. Potomac School lost to the Bulldogs at home by a decisive 64-50 margin. Potomac School has struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Potomac School saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sabrina Anderson, who scored 15 points along with two steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Zora Burrell, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Georgetown Visitation Prep dropped their record down to 7-12 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Potomac School, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.
Georgetown Visitation Prep suffered a grim 63-42 defeat to the Panthers in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Georgetown Visitation Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
