The Horizon Hawks had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past Windermere 59-15 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-9.
Sienna Astorino was her usual excellent self, scoring 8 points along with 7 assists and 7 steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Amaria Mccrimon was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 4 steals.
Horizon's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Windermere, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tenoroc at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Tenoroc is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Windermere, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Nona at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
