The Creekside Seminoles entered their tilt with the Tri-Cities Bulldogs with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Creekside took their contest at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-6 victory over Tri-Cities. The result was nothing new for Creekside, who have now won four contests by 35 points or more so far this season.
Creekside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vinson Berry, who threw for 84 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score. Berry hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. Roderick McCrary was another key contributor, rushing for 81 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Creekside's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-8 St. Peter's Prep and 2-7 Tri-Cities (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 35.6% over those games). As for Tri-Cities, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Creekside will head out on the road to face off against Banneker at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Banneker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 239th, while Creekside is ranked 35th). As for Tri-Cities, they will be playing at home against Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
