While DePaul Catholic's victory against Paramus Catholic wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Paladins on Wednesday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Paladins recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

DePaul Catholic's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Paramus Catholic, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DePaul Catholic will venture away from home to challenge Passaic Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 3.1, the Hornets 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Paramus Catholic, they will head out to face off against Saddle Brook at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Paladins are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
