After both having extra time off, Waterville/Mansfield and the Grandview Greyhounds will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 3:30 p.m. on December 30th. Grandview took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Waterville/Mansfield, who comes in off a win.
On December 14th, everything went Waterville/Mansfield's way against Pateros as Waterville/Mansfield made off with a 52-28 victory.
Meanwhile, Grandview had to suffer through a rough 76-46 loss at the hands of West Valley. Grandview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-19.
Despite the defeat, Grandview got a solid performance out of Marissa Castilleja, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Miya Lopez was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Waterville/Mansfield pushed their record up to 1-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.1 points per game. As for Grandview, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
