The Wake County HomeSchool Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against the St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Wake County HomeSchool's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so St. Louis HomeSchool P's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Wake County HomeSchool can't be too worried about heading out to take on St. Louis HomeSchool P: they just beat Mansfield Homeschool at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Warriors came out on top against the Knights by a score of 9-5 on Tuesday. Nine seems to be a good number for the Warriors as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Ethan Evans looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gunnar Manning, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Avery Martin was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs.
Meanwhile, St. Louis HomeSchool P entered their tilt with Middle Tennessee Monarchs on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They never let Middle Tennessee Monarchs get on the board and left with a 6-0 win.
The result came thanks to Samuel Hart's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Vinny Tornatore was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Skaggs, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
St. Louis HomeSchool P pushed their record up to 18-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wake County HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.
Wake County HomeSchool took their victory against St. Louis HomeSchool P when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
