The St. Martin Yellow Jackets came into Thursday's   contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They pulled ahead with a  39-38 photo finish over Long Beach. The  win was just what St. Martin needed coming off of a  75-26 defeat in their prior  contest.
 St. Martin was led to victory by  Kai Vieira and  Ty'Lah Whitlock.  Vieira  scored ten points, while  Whitlock  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and ten  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Whitlock has scored all season.
 St. Martin's win bumped their record up to 5-20. As for Long Beach, they have  not been sharp recently as the team's  lost 15 of their last 17 contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-23 record this season.
 St. Martin will head out on the road to  face off against  the Greyhounds at 8:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Long Beach, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
