While losing is never fun, Mount Juliet Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Cougars are ranked 57th).
Mount Juliet Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Christian Frewin, who scored nine points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jude Beaty, who scored eight points.
Mount Juliet Christian Academy's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Clarksville Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Juliet Christian Academy will face off against the Shires at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Dayspring Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday. As for Clarksville Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Commanders at 3:30 p.m. on February 3rd. One thing working in Friendship Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 13 matchups.
