The Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars were the 42-31 winner over the Lakeview Charter Lions when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Lake Balboa College Prep fell just short of Lakeview Charter by a score of 49-46.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was ARMEN BOURSALIAN, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. BOURSALIAN is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was ASHOT ABRAMYAN, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Lake Balboa College Prep has fallen quite a ways from their 13-5 record last season and are now at 1-4. As for Lakeview Charter, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Lake Balboa College Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against University Pathways Medical Magnet at 5:15 p.m. on December 14th. University Pathways Medical Magnet is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Lakeview Charter will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hart at 6:00 p.m. on December 26th.
