Window Rock was the 58-44 winner over Valley when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Window Rock Fighting Scouts took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Pirates. The Fighting Scouts' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Eric Slim continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Valley, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Slim's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laurent Roan, who posted four points and seven steals.

Window Rock's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Valley, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Window Rock will venture away from home to challenge Tuba City at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Valley, they will host San Carlos at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully San Carlos likes a good challenge.
