The Caldwell County Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Henderson County Colonels at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Caldwell County will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Caldwell County barely beat Calloway County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Caldwell County was the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over Calloway County on Saturday. Considering the Tigers have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Caldwell County got a great performance from Ethan Ramage as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Ramage has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Drew Stevens, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Luke Parker also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Henderson County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Hancock County 12-2 on Wednesday. The Colonels' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Cole Thompson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.
At the plate, Maxton Meadows was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Holland, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Henderson County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hancock County only posted a batting average of .056.
Caldwell County's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Henderson County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
Henderson County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Caldwell County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .439. It's a different story for Henderson County, though, as they've only averaged .357. Will they be able to contain Caldwell County's hitters?
Caldwell County took their win against Henderson County when the teams last played last Saturday by a conclusive 14-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Caldwell County since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
