The Biggs Wolverines can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They blew past Faith Christian 64-40. The victory was familiar territory for Biggs who now have eight in a row.
Emilio Vera continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed seven or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brady Smith, who scored 19 points.
Faith Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Max Bryan, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Bryan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cedric Smith, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Biggs is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Faith Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Biggs won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hamilton at 8:00 p.m. on January 30th. Averaging 63.55 points so far this season, Biggs' high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Hamilton better be ready for a challenge. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Buckingham Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
