After a string of four wins, the Caney Valley Bullpups's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a rough 67-47 defeat at the hands of Humboldt. If Caney Valley was looking for revenge after losing 69-39 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Humboldt got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Colden Cook out in front who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Hull, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Caney Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-4-2. As for Humboldt, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Caney Valley will take on the Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Humboldt, they will head out on the road to square off against the Blue Streaks on Tuesday.
