Hackleburg extended the longest winning streak in 1A Region 8 this week by beating Phil Campbell, 35-14. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Panthers.
Tharptown took down Alabama School for the Deaf 52-16 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Phillips's Rodney Camp and Tyler Crumpton have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Camp has thrown for 2438 yards this season, while Crumpton, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 56 catches for 1121 yards. Kristian Jones from Hackleburg leads the league in rushing with 1182 yards.
The Wildcats led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on the Silent Warriors.
