The Batavia Bulldogs had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 46-0 win over Brother Rice. Considering Batavia has won six contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Ryan Boe continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 230 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Charlie Whelpley did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
Batavia's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points per game. As for Brother Rice, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Batavia has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Lincoln-Way Central at 1:00 p.m. on November 4th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Lincoln-Way Central is ranked 29th, while Batavia is ranked 12th). Brother Rice does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
