The Rootstown Rovers waltzed into Tuesday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Crestwood 69-13 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Rootstown, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Rootstown can attribute much of their success to Nadia Lough, who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Lough is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Brooklynn McIntyre was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Rootstown's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Crestwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rootstown will take on McKinley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Crestwood, they will be playing at home against Cloverleaf at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Cloverleaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Sunday.
