There's no place like home for the Larue County Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 63-52 victory over Campbellsville on Monday. Given Larue County's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Campbellsville is ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Daniel Allen was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. He hasn't dropped below 15points for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was Landon Blakey, who scored 12 points.
Larue County's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Campbellsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Larue County will face off against Hart County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Campbellsville, they will head out on the road to challenge Taylor County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Taylor County is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
