Sweetwater was dealt a 63-30 loss at the hands of McMinn Central on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sweetwater has scored all season.
Sweetwater's loss came despite strong showings from Chris Alford and Cade Houser. Alford scored 15 points along with seven rebounds, while Houser scored five points along with five rebounds. The match was Alford's 13th in a row with at least ten points.
Sweetwater has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for McMinn Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Sweetwater will head out on the road to face off against Tellico Plains at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McMinn Central, they will be playing at home against Polk County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
