Southeast entered their tilt with Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 65-55 victory over the Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate Phoenix.

Southeast's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamarri Bivens, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jakyrin Smith, who put up 14 points.

Several Phoenix players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was DAQUA HALL, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 17 points. The dominant performance gave HALL a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of EMANI BROWN, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Southeast has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

Southeast will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Braden River at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Southeast is facing Braden River at the right time seeing as Braden River is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Cypress Creek at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully Cypress Creek likes a good challenge.
