St. Mary's Academy's game  on Thursday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They never let the St. Katharine Drexel Yellowjackets get on the board and left with  a   15-0  victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by ten  runs or more this season.
 Danielle Beard made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Those  hits marked the first that  she  allowed this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  Carin Marshall and  Nave Batiste did most of the damage at the plate:  Marshall  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  RBI, while  Batiste  scored three  runs and  stole five bases while going 2-for-2. Those  two  hits gave  Batiste a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Samia Siddiq, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
 St. Mary's Academy  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 4.6  hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.8.
St. Mary's Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-6-1. As for St. Katharine Drexel,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-5-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary's Academy will welcome South Plaquemines  at 12:30  p.m.  on Saturday. As for St. Katharine Drexel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
