Grayslake North had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Elgin Maroons on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Abby Dorich went supernova, getting eight aces and five digs. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high. Ava Aleckson also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Grayslake North's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Elgin, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Grayslake North will head out to square off against Lake Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elgin, they will welcome Proviso West at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
