The Glenns Ferry Pilots will head out to take on the Lighthouse Christian Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Glenns Ferry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Glenns Ferry made easy work of Gem State Adventist Academy and carried off a 16-4 victory. The Pilots haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Glenns Ferry got a massive performance out of Carson Traudt, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Traudt has become a key player for the Pilots: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Alan Mesillas, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Glenns Ferry always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Lighthouse Christian came up short against North Star on Saturday, falling 18-4. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lighthouse Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karsten Sweesy, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Brennan Ford was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
Lighthouse Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Glenns Ferry, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10-1.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Glenns Ferry has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .442. However, it's not like Lighthouse Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .489. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Glenns Ferry couldn't quite get it done against Lighthouse Christian in their previous meeting on Wednesday as they fell 16-12. Can the Pilots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
