Los Osos is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Rancho Cucamonga a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Los Osos Grizzlies will welcome the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars at 3:15 p.m. Los Osos will be strutting in after a win while Rancho Cucamonga will be coming in after a defeat.
Having struggled with six losses in a row, Los Osos turned things around against Western on Tuesday. They never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Grizzlies' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

Kira Cooper and Abigail Merchant were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Cooper pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Merchant tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Cooper a new career-high in strikeouts (four). At bat, Cooper went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Merchant went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Jazzlynn Rodriguez was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Aubrey Chung was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Los Osos kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Rancho Cucamonga came up short against Upland on Friday, falling 14-4.
Amanda Wise made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordin Washington, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Los Osos' win bumped their record up to 13-9-1. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
Rancho Cucamonga's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Los Osos has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Rancho Cucamonga, though, as they've been averaging only 2.9 strikeouts. Will Los Osos keep running through batters, or will the Cougars buck the trend?
