This season hasn't been kind to the Camden Blue Devils, who are still winless after their sixth match. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 45-22 walloping at the hands of Holland Patent on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Camden in their matchups with the Golden Knights: they've now lost four in a row.
Holland Patent had a senior duo take command as Terralyn McLaughlin scored 21 points along with four steals and Michaela Cushman almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which McLaughlin has scored at least a third of Holland Patent's points. Riley Mierek was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Camden's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Holland Patent, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Camden will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Holland Patent, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Wildcats at 1:45 p.m.
