Lanier County found their leader in underclassman Drake Wolford, who threw for 130 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Bj Jones was another key contributor, picking up 66 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Charlton County's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lanier County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Charlton County will head out on the road to face off against Jenkins County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jenkins County will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Lanier County will take on Emanuel County Institute at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Emanuel County Institute is ranked 268th, while Lanier County is ranked 243rd).
