The East Providence Townies will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Raphael Academy Saints at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. East Providence will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  matchup than the last.
 East Providence is headed into the  game fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. They lost  15-8 to Coventry on Friday. The  defeat   continues a  trend for East Providence in their matchups with Coventry: they've now lost three in a row.
  Trinity Provencher was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Shelby Quinn, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Even though they lost, East Providence was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .394. That's the best  batting average they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, St. Raphael Academy had to endure  a  seven-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Smithfield  a   10-0 shutout  on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for St. Raphael Academy considering their two-run performance the  contest before.
 East Providence's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for St. Raphael Academy, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-4.
